A New Look for Painted Toilets: How an Ottawa Hills Student Designed the Official Logo

For the past four years, the Ottawa Hills Art Club has participated in the Waterhouse Painted Toilets event, contributing creative designs to support this annual fundraiser. This year, that connection grew even stronger.

Ottawa Hills student Hannah Chernow wanted to create an official logo for the event. She reached out to us with her idea, and after reviewing her design, we knew it was the right fit. The new logo now represents the event moving forward.

The Artist Behind the Logo

Hannah is part of the Ottawa Hills Art Club, led by Caitlin Shawaker, Fine Art and AP Art History teacher. The club has been involved in the Painted Toilets event every year since 2021, turning toilets into works of art to raise awareness and funds. Hannah’s logo captures the creative and community-driven nature of the event, making it the perfect choice to represent this project.
